Certified Legal Assistant and Florida Registered Paralegal
Judi likes to remind Jim they have worked together for more than half of her lifetime! She is one of four children who grew up in Canada, just outside of Toronto. Despite her Canadian ties, she came to Florida when she was 20 years old, the only one in her family to move south. While working as a medical lab technician, she attended St. Petersburg College and became a paralegal. Her first paralegal position was with the original large advertising law firm in Tampa. It was her experience working in large volume personal injury practice that showed Judi she wanted to be part of a different kind of personal injury law firm.
Judi was hired as Jim’s first legal assistant in his former Clearwater law firm. She quickly distinguished herself as the firm’s senior paralegal, and the “go to person” for legal assistants, staff and lawyers alike. About two months after Jim left the practice to open his own firm in 2001, Judi turned in her resignation and joined him. Jim and Judi have worked together for more than 30 years. Judi possesses a unique combination of exceptional paralegal skills and personality. She is the empathetic, compassionate and friendly voice on the phone for each of the firm’s clients. She is the heart of the office. Judi is a Certified Paralegal and Florida Registered Paralegal.
Judi and her husband, Joe, have been married for more than 32 years. Their daughter, Brielle, remained in Fort Myers after graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University and works as a HR Manager. In 2014, Judi and Joe relocated to Fort Myers, where Judi has continued to work from home. Due to the seamless transition, most clients don't even realize Judi isn't sitting at her desk in Clearwater. In July of 2017, Brielle and Beau welcomed their daughter, Blake. When not enjoying her time with her beautiful new granddaughter, Judi likes to read and ride her bicycle on the trails in Fort Myers and surrounding areas.
