The last several weeks have been something else. In fact, I have stopped watching the news; it was just weighing me down. Each day seems to bring some new level of anxiety about the future and the talking heads were not helping me. I am deeply concerned for all who have been impacted financially or in their health, and I share your concerns about the future.
Every American generation has had its periods of overwhelming challenge, including ours. I have always found hope in the faith, resilience and resourcefulness of our people in the face of hardships. I firmly believe we will pull through this and become stronger as a result. Our strength, like faith, becomes evident as we overcome difficult times.
Each of us at Jim Dodson Law remains committed to do what is necessary to help our clients and our friends. Half of our team has always worked remotely. For the welfare of everyone else, the rest of us are doing so now and it has been done smoothly. We remain fully available to vigorously pursue every client’s case and to help anyone who needs us. If you know someone who has sustained an unexpected injury, don’t hesitate to have them call us.
In our cycling practice, many of our clients do not live within 50 miles or more of our office. It has always been quite common for us to be engaged by clients remotely regardless of where they live in Florida. When it meets their needs, I travel to meet clients personally. Quite often, they don’t feel it is necessary and we meet by phone supplemented by email. No one should be concerned it is necessary to have a face-to-face meeting in order to retain our help; although for anyone preferring to speak face-to-face, we offer teleconferencing, as well.
During this period of social distancing, we are unable to do our normal Facebook Live programs since our technical expert is not in the office to make the magic happen. We look forward to being back Live as soon as this crisis passes.
In the meantime, join me in remaining optimistic, doing what we can to help those affected by these events, and in asking for God’s protection and help for each of us.
