Have you noticed day time TV seems to be nothing but one lawyer ad followed by another? You can’t escape it at night either. Then there are all the cabs and the busses and bill boards. Is it like this everywhere in the country? Apparently not. The Tampa Bay Times reported on October 26th that thanks to John Morgan and friends, the Tampa Bay market has more ads than anywhere else in the country followed closely by Orlando (Morgan’s home office)! Are you feeling proud to be first?
Morgan reports he spends $25 million a year on TV. He boasts 250 lawyers and 1500 staff (sounds very personal doesn’t it?). I just want to say “no mas”! Enough already with the barrage of “you may be entitled to substantial financial compensation” messages.
All this has caught the attention of the lawsuit reform crowd who want to take away everyone’s right to be compensated when someone carelessly changes their life. This constant TV barrage feeds into the tort reformers and makes all lawyers and injury clients easy targets for being conveniently labeled as “greedy”.
