Jim Dodson named one of Tampa Bay’s best lawyers
Clearwater, Florida: Clearwater personal injury attorney James Dodson has been named as one of Tampa’s top-rated lawyers in The American Lawyer Magazine’s special edition, “Tampa’s Top Rated Lawyers, 2012 Edition: The Definitive Guide to Legal Representation in Tampa.” The annual publication provides consumers of legal services with a list of the attorneys in the area who have been recognized by their peers as having achieved the highest standards of professional excellence and ethics.
To be selected for the Tampa Bay Magazine feature article, an attorney must have earned a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent, the highest peer review rating possible. LexisNexis-Martindale-Hubbell is the world’s most widely respected source of independent peer review ratings of attorneys for the past 140 years.
Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings are based on confidential opinions of lawyers and judges who are invited to participate by reviewing lawyers with whom they have worked professionally. Rankings are based on the lawyers’ legal knowledge and experience, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability, and ethics in their chosen practice area.
“I’m deeply honored to have been given the AV Preeminent rating and to be included in “Tampa’s Top-Rated Lawyers.” I’m grateful to the attorneys and judges I’ve worked with over the past 25 years for having the confidence in my abilities to make this possible,” Dodson said upon hearing of his inclusion in the publication.
Jim has been practicing for more than 25 years, exclusively in the area of plaintiff personal injury law. A former federal prosecutor and assistant state attorney, he opened Jim Dodson Law in 2001 after many years as a partner with a large Clearwater personal injury firm, in order to implement his personal philosophy of a service-oriented, client-centered law practice.
Dodson is the author of a series of six books on topics related to various areas of personal injury law, which he provides free to the public on his website. He currently serves as president of the Pinellas Mid-County Bar Association and is a past president of the Clearwater Bar Association. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is active in several community-based charities, including Isaiah’s Inn, an organization the fights homelessness, and Young Life, a ministry that works to provide opportunities for at-risk youth.
