I read your article in the VHA Voice regarding the Bike Friendly Advocacy Group safety and related insurance information.
I am an avid bicyclist biking daily in The Villages 15-20 miles. I practice safety when biking, stay out of high traffic areas but still experience close calls with golf carts. I have often wondered if someone did hit me whether they would even stop. I wish that all golf carts had some form of license plate.
After reading your article, I looked up the declaration page for my auto insurance and fortunately I have Uninsured Motorist "stacked" $300k per person/ $300K per occurrence. I am not sure what stacked means and should be contacting my insurance company to ask them.
I want to thank you for providing such an important article creating awareness and educating Village residents.
