Is it Required to Have a Bike Light When Riding at Night?

Video Transcription:
In order to ride a bicycle at night in Florida, you are required to have both a headlight and a taillight. The headlight needs to be seen from at least 500 feet away and the taillight needs to be seen from at least 600 feet away. The headlight is typically white and the taillight is red.

Attorney Jim Dodson urges cyclists to think about investing in good lights for their bike. You don't necessarily need to buy the most expensive lights on the market but try to find bright lights so that you can be seen because it could literally save your life.
