What is Radiofrequency Ablation & How Well Does it Manage Pain?

Video Transcription:
There has been wonderful advances in pain management over the last few years and one of those is radiofrequency ablation. In our practice we see it being used on patients with typically back pain, nerve caused back pain. It has had great results with many of our clients. Other people, quite frankly, are a little intimidated by the thought of the process.

Radiofrequency ablation is very mainstream and it involves a physician putting a probe into the precise location where the nerve is involved. They use a frequency to burn the nerve back. They know that it is not a one time fix like surgery might be because the nerve will regenerate at a certain rate per day, per week, per year. But many people get great results from it and it gives them great pain relief. It is definitely something to consider in the arsenal of what you have for pain management.
