Jim: Hey, it’s Jim and I’m over in Sanford at the Ride Rock and Roll cycling that was put on here this weekend. Unfortunately, we had rain but we still had about a hundred riders that really enjoyed a great ride. This is a really great event put on by Paul Ricci.
Paul: Hi everyone, this is Paul Ricci and I’m with CAAM Events. We actually just produced the Ride Rock and Roll here in Sanford and as you can see we have a band on stage performing for us. Earlier we had a 45 and a 70 mile course for everybody but we got rained out so we cut short the 70 mile course. But either way everybody had a great time today.
This event is actually supporting three charities. We are supporting cystic fibrosis with their CF Cycle for Life in November. In September we have the Camp Boggy Creek Challenge supporting the lives of children with serious illnesses. And, then in October we have Champions Ride for Charities where our focus is to donate all proceeds to benefit local charities in Seminole County. The beneficiaries are the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Seminole County Branches and The Sharing Center. So, all of these events are a great opportunity for cyclists to get together and ride, have some good food and drinks and listen to music while supporting these charities.
